"Moonlit Room" from the House of Doves series.
The House of Doves series is comprised of a number of paintings and drawings inspired by a bordello encountered by McCarthy on his trip to Mexico in the 1990's. The first group of paintings in the series were exhibited in his Mexico Exhibition in 1998 at the Adonis Art Gallery. It was a theme that inspired him right up to up to his death in 2009.
